What's Included in a POS Hardware Package in Guyana? (2026)

By Computing Core 5 min read

Does the software come with the machine, or is that separate? Here's exactly what's in our POS hardware package and what it costs — no vague quotes required.

One question we get almost every week from someone setting up a new shop or restaurant: "does the software come with the machine, or do I need to buy that separately?" Fair question, and one a lot of POS companies are vague about until the invoice shows up. Here's exactly what's in our hardware package and what it costs.

What's Actually in the Box

Our standard POS hardware package includes everything you need to start ringing up sales on day one:

  • Lenovo Tiny Desktop PC — small footprint, reliable, built to run all day every day
  • Monitor (non-touch screen)
  • Cash drawer
  • Barcode scanner
  • Receipt printer

That's a complete till, ready to go — not a list of things you still need to hunt down separately after you've already paid for software.

The Price

The full hardware package is $285,000 GYD, and it is priced separately from your POS software subscription. We don't bundle a hardware markup into the software price and hide it — you know exactly what the machine costs and exactly what the software costs.

If you are running a restaurant or bar, you do not need the barcode scanner — nobody's scanning a plate of food — so that item comes out of the package and the price is adjusted accordingly.

Already Have Some of the Hardware?

Not everyone is starting from zero. Maybe you already have a computer system sitting around, or an old barcode scanner from a previous setup. Tell us what you have, and we will work with it wherever we can. We like working alongside our clients rather than just handing over a fixed invoice — if something you already own does the job, we would rather save you the money than sell you a duplicate.

Windows or Android — Which One Do You Need?

  • Windows-based terminals (like the Lenovo Tiny in our standard package) — the right choice for most fixed-location businesses. Full offline capability, solid local storage, handles busy multi-terminal setups without breaking a sweat.
  • Android-based setups — better suited to mobile or lightweight deployments, like food trucks or market stalls, where portability matters more than raw power.

If you are not sure which fits your business, that is exactly the kind of question worth asking us before you buy anything.

What's Not Included (And Why That's Fine)

The hardware package covers the core till setup. Depending on your business, you might also want a kitchen display screen for a restaurant, additional receipt printers for a second register, or a UPS to protect everything during a power outage. These are quoted based on your specific setup rather than folded into one generic number — because a single-till hardware shop and a three-register restaurant genuinely need different things.

Installation Is Part of the Deal

We do not drop a box at your door and wish you luck. Setup, configuration and staff training happen on-site, so the first time your team uses the system is with us standing right there, not on a stressful opening morning with a manual and a support hotline.

The Bottom Line

Hardware pricing does not need to be a mystery, and it should not be an unpleasant surprise after you've already committed to the software. Our package is $285,000 GYD for a complete, ready-to-use till — PC, monitor, cash drawer, scanner and printer — adjusted down if you are a restaurant or bar that doesn't need the scanner, with on-site installation included.

If you want an exact quote for your specific setup, give us a call — we would rather spend five minutes on the phone getting it right than have you guessing from a generic price list.
