Running a Second Branch? Cloud POS for Multi-Location Shops in Guyana
Adding a second location changes how you run stock, staff and reports. Here is how a cloud POS keeps every branch on one dashboard in Guyana, why it still has to work offline, and which plan covers multi-location.

Opening a second branch is a big step. It is also the point where a lot of systems that worked fine for one shop start to fall apart.
With one location, you can see the shelves, count the drawer and know how the day went. With two or more, you cannot be everywhere at once. If each branch runs its own register, its own stock list and its own books, you end up running two businesses that happen to share a name.
This guide explains what changes when you add a branch, how a cloud POS keeps every location on one system, why that system still has to work offline in Guyana, and which plan covers multi-location.
What Breaks When You Add a Branch
Separate stock. Each branch has its own count, and nobody knows whether the item a customer wants is sitting at the other location.
Separate books. Sales, expenses and receipts from each branch have to be combined by hand before you can see the whole picture.
No overview. To know how the business is doing today, you have to phone each branch or drive there.
Staff you cannot see. Discounts, voids and refunds at a branch you are not standing in are hard to check after the fact.
A multi-location POS is meant to fix all four with one system instead of several.
One Dashboard for Every Branch
With Computing Core's cloud POS, you run every branch from one dashboard. When you are online, you get real-time dashboards, multi-location sync, remote monitoring and automatic cloud backup.
Check sales and stock from your phone, anywhere. You do not need to be at the counter to know how each branch is doing.
Reports on any device. Open reports on a desktop, tablet or phone.
Automatic data backup. Your data is backed up automatically and securely.
Always up-to-date software. Updates roll out automatically, with no manual upgrades at each branch.
Secure and encrypted. Bank-grade encryption keeps your data safe.
Stock follows the same pattern. With multi-location stock, you can see what is on the shelves at every branch, not just the one you are standing in.
Why a Cloud-Only POS Is Risky in Guyana
Here is the catch. Internet and power interruptions are a fact of doing business in Guyana. A cloud-only POS stops working the moment the connection drops, and with more branches there are more connections that can drop.
Computing Core combines the convenience of the cloud with true offline operation. When the internet drops at a branch, every sale still processes locally, receipts still print and inventory still updates. Each checkout records locally, then everything syncs automatically the moment you reconnect, so shops with several checkouts and several branches stay consistent.
For the full explanation of how offline-first works, read our offline POS guide or see Offline POS Guyana. For longer blackouts, put a UPS or backup power on each POS computer.
Cloud or On-Premise: Same Plans, Same Prices
Some owners prefer to keep their system on their own premises. That is available at the same plan pricing as cloud.
With on-premise deployment, you provide the server hardware (or ask us for a hardware quote), and Computing Core sets up the server to host and serve the POS at your business premises. Because the server is local, the system works fully offline by design.
Cloud makes the most sense when you want to see every branch remotely without managing a server yourself. On-premise suits owners who want the server in their own building. Either way, the plan prices are the same, so the choice can be about how you want to run the business rather than cost.
Keeping Staff Accountable Across Branches
When you cannot be at every branch, the POS has to be your eyes. Individual staff logins and activity tracking tie every sale, discount and void to a person.
For tighter control, Computing Core's loss prevention module flags suspicious discounts, edited or voided sales, refund abuse, after-hours activity and cash register discrepancies, with plain-language explanations. Multi-location businesses see alerts scoped to each branch. The loss prevention module is included in the Enterprise plan.
Which Plan Covers Multi-Location?
Multi-location management starts at Premium. Here are the current plans:
Plan | Annual price | One-time setup | Key additions |
|---|---|---|---|
Basic | GYD 36,000 / year | GYD 40,000 | Core POS online and offline: sales, receipts, customer accounts, inventory, barcode, reports, users |
Standard | GYD 60,000 / year | GYD 60,000 | Everything in Basic, plus advanced inventory and advanced reporting |
Premium | GYD 103,680 / year | GYD 90,000 | Everything in Standard, plus multi-location management and advanced business management |
Enterprise | GYD 144,000 / year | GYD 120,000 | Everything in Premium, plus priority support, loss prevention and the full accounting package |
All plans are billed once a year, work online and offline, and include tech support. One-time setup is separate.
Premium includes everything in Standard, plus multi-location management and advanced business management. GYD 103,680 a year, setup GYD 90,000.
Enterprise includes everything in Premium, plus priority support, the loss prevention module, the full accounting package and connecting the POS to other business tools. GYD 144,000 a year, setup GYD 120,000. The accounting package is included, not a separate add-on. Custom API work is quoted separately.
Enterprise is the plan for businesses that need accounting inside the POS, tighter loss control and a link to other tools. Hardware is separate: the full hardware package is GYD 285,000 one-time for a complete POS station with on-site installation. See POS hardware for Guyana businesses.
Questions to Ask Before You Open the Second Branch
Can I see every branch on one dashboard, and from my phone?
What happens at one branch when its internet drops? The sale should complete locally and sync later.
Does stock show per branch, so I can see what is at the other location?
Can I see discounts, voids and refunds per branch and per cashier?
What does adding a second register or branch actually cost? Ask any provider before you sign for the first one.
