A practical 2026 guide to comparing POS receipts, offline selling, stock control, plan limits and accounting for your business in Guyana.
Choosing a POS system in Guyana? Start with what your business needs to do each day, not the longest feature list. Count your products, users and locations, check the receipt format, and ask to see an offline sale before you decide.
This 2026 buyer's guide explains how to compare those essentials, what Computing Core's OnlinePOS plans cost, and when full accounting belongs on your shortlist. If you already have a shortlist, request a demo and bring your checklist.
1. Choose for your type of business
Write down three tasks you want your new POS to handle. For example: find an item quickly, record a sale and check which products need reordering. Ask the provider to demonstrate those tasks using examples that resemble your business.
For Computing Core, the product choice matters. OnlinePOS is the option to discuss for inventory-led businesses. TouchPOS is the separate restaurant, bar and food-business product. Do not assume the OnlinePOS tier table below is a restaurant quotation.
TouchPOS has one flat software price of GYD 103,680 per year, with setup from GYD 90,000. It includes a kitchen display system. Ask for a demonstration of the restaurant workflow rather than trying to fit a food business into a retail comparison.
2. Ask to see GRA-compliant receipts
Make receipts part of the demonstration, not a question you leave until installation. OnlinePOS supports GRA-compliant receipts. Ask to see a sample receipt and discuss how your business details and applicable tax settings will be configured.
Keep receipt requirements separate from accounting requirements. A receipt demonstration does not replace a review with your accountant. If you need accounting reports as well as checkout, ask to see those reports before choosing a plan.
3. Test offline selling and your device choice
Ask the provider to show what happens when the internet connection is unavailable. Computing Core POS software works online and offline, including OnlinePOS and TouchPOS. Have the demonstration cover the tasks you need during an interruption, then ask what staff should do when the connection returns.
The POS runs in a web browser, with no app to download. There is no separate Play Store or App Store POS app. For the best offline experience, we recommend the Lenovo Tiny desktop computer in our hardware package.
The hardware package costs GYD 285,000 one-time and includes a Lenovo Tiny desktop computer, monitor, barcode scanner, receipt printer, cash drawer and on-site installation. A Samsung tablet is also offered as a computer option. Discuss the right device for your checkout before buying hardware.
4. Check inventory and the low stock report
Do not stop at a screen showing today's sales. Ask how you will find products, count stock and decide what to order next. OnlinePOS supports item search by part number, description or barcode/SKU, together with inventory stock control.
Its low stock report uses reorder points to show the items that need reordering urgently. This is a report, not a promise of automatic low-stock notifications. Ask to see how you will review the report as part of your ordering routine.
Other approved inventory features include stock valuation, stock-take counts and stock transfers between branches. OnlinePOS also supports purchase orders for suppliers, retail and wholesale or case prices on the same item, and expiry-date and batch tracking. Ask the demo presenter to identify the plan and configuration needed for your particular workflow.
5. Match products, users and locations to the plan
Count the products you will create in the POS, not the number of lines on an invoice. Then count the people who need user accounts and the locations you need to operate. Those three numbers make the OnlinePOS comparison much clearer.
| OnlinePOS plan | Products | Users | Locations | Yearly software, GYD | One-time setup, GYD |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Up to 60 | 2 | 1 | 36,000 | 40,000 |
| Standard | Up to 250 | 4 | 1 | 60,000 | 60,000 |
| Premium | Unlimited | Unlimited | Multiple, billed per location | 103,680 per location | 90,000 |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | Unlimited | Multiple, billed per location | 144,000 per location | 120,000 |
Yearly software is billed upfront. Only Premium and Enterprise support multiple locations. Each additional location is billed at the chosen plan's full yearly software price. For example, Premium for two locations is GYD 207,360 per year.
POS plans include hosting at no charge, with no domain charge for POS. Do not confuse POS costs with separate website or custom software hosting. For the product overview, visit POS software in Guyana.
6. Decide whether you need full accounting
If you need checkout and stock control, start your comparison there. If you also need the full accounting package, compare Enterprise. It includes everything in Premium plus full accounting.
The Enterprise accounting module includes the general ledger, chart of accounts, profit and loss, balance sheet, VAT/GRA filing reports, bank reconciliation, expense tracking and exports for an accountant. Ask your accountant which reports they need and request those examples in the demo.
7. Compare the complete quote, not just the annual price
Ask for a written breakdown of yearly software, one-time setup and any hardware you need. Check the product, user and location limits against your actual requirements. If you are comparing providers, give each one the same checklist so you can compare the answers.
For Computing Core payments, clients cover MMG fees. Confirm the final scope and price in your quote before proceeding.
Searching for the best POS Guyana has to offer? A more useful question is: which system can demonstrate the receipt, offline, inventory and reporting tasks my business needs, at a cost I understand? Use that question to guide the conversation instead of relying on an unsupported ranking.
